Over the past few weeks, I had the privilege to work on a project that is probably one of the dreams for every film composer. I got contacted by Drew and Nate – two brothers – of Ice Cream Entertainment to score their short film called HERO. They asked me to write music in the style of 80s/90s adventure scores and gave me complete creative freedom on the music, which is a very rare opportunity these days. Their love for film music and respect for the craft behind it was fantastic and I had a blast writing this music and recording it with the fantastic City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
The two directors even came all the way from the USA to Prague to be there for the scoring and brought some cameras to film the session and do a little music featurette with me:
