New Daily Film Scoring Tips Section

Posted on Sep 9, 2010 in News

After I get many emails with small questions about the workflow of a (film) composer or technical question, I thought it might be a good idea to launch a little new feature on my website. In the submenu “Tutorials” you’ll now find a new page called “Daily Film Scoring Bits” on which I’ll add a short trick, hint or advice from the field of film scoring every day (or at least I’ll try that). These small hints will be suitable for everybody involved with film music, either as composer or director/producer etc. I will publish these hints on twitter as well, so if you want to stay up-to-date, you might want to follow me on twitter. The link can be found to your left below the menu.

I hope you like this new little feature.

All the best

  1. Thanks for sharing these tips. Much appreciated by someone like me who is still learning how to compose.

  2. I just went through and read every single tip from this year and last! Lots of amazing and useful information indeed! Thank you so much – I especially appreciate the comments on harmony and melodies as I am just starting to take composition more seriously. The first tips on harmony that I’ve read that I don’t feel like I need a doctorate to understand!
